Love Saves The Day
In 2012 Team Love combined our expertise to put on a 10,000 capacity one-day festival in the centre of Bristol. Assuming responsibility for all aspects of production, the team dealt with everything from site layout to event management and hand-picked contractors to provide additional infrastructure and support.
We also worked closely with Bristol City Council & the blue light agencies to secure the necessary licensing agreements. Representatives from Avon & Somerset Police were so impressed with the event in 2013 that they deemed it “one of the best organised festivals” the city had ever seen.
Tom & Dave co-programmed the festival giving ticket holders the opportunity to experience an incredible and far-reaching line up of performing artists and DJs. Their comprehensive knowledge of individual acts and the industry as a whole combined with their production expertise gave them the aptitude to forecast crowd size and movement around site, ensuring that festival-goers had a thoroughly enjoyable day and that the city centre park never felt short of space.
Love Saves the Day was staffed with an impressive team of crew and contractors who helped deliver the event exactly as planned. From the creatively gifted décor team who made the site look magical, to the highly trusted security firm, everyone on site was professional, hard working and totally reliable resulting in a first-class event.
After the success of the first year, they extended the festival over two days for 2013 and 2014. Over 17,000 ticket holders came through the gates in 2013 and this increased to 24,000 in 2014. They received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both attendees and the national press.
2015 saw the festival relocate to a new site to accommodate 30,000 attendees across the course of the weekend. Despite the apprehensions entailed by such a move, the team were able to adapt Love Saves The Day to the new site with a bare minimum of teething problems and a plethora of new stages and features.
Soon to be rolling into its 8th year Love Saves The Day has come off the back of its biggest and most ambitious weekend to date that saw 50,000 people come together in Eastville Park over the course of the two days. Love Saves the Day continues with its aims to combine the best of Bristol’s thriving underground scene with pioneering artists from around the globe in one vibrant, unified space. With exceptional music being a pillar of the festival there is also an equal emphasis on truly inspiring production as well as a host of non-musical entertainment – such as local groups Twisted Theatre, The Inflatable Church, BUMP Rollerdisco and many many more.
